Progestagen - Auxiliary or emergency contraceptive that must be taken as a single dose as soon as possible and no later than 72 hours (3 days) after unprotected sexual intercourse, or in the following cases: Missing one or more doses of your regular contraceptive, having sexual intercourse using a defective or broken preservative (condom), ejection of your intrauterine device (IUD), displacement or loss of a vaginal diaphragm, loss of protective coat of spermicidal gel or jelly, interruption of sexual intercourse, alterations or changes to the periodic abstinence method (or the rhythm or temperature method); or in case of rape. The use of LEVONORGESTREL is indicated only for adult women.
